So the high speed netzero isn't working very quickly tonight. There's a reason I haven't blogged in a few days. I set up the netzero, then turned in my cable modem and cashed out of comcast. Well I move the computer out of the kitchen because there was no phone jack in the kitchen that was accessible. We move it upstairs and i hook it all up and plug it in.. no dial tone.
Come to find out that basically there are two connections in this house, a good one and a bad one. I'm not sure why but half of the houses phone lines are dead, just so happens they were ones we never really tried before. So tonight I bought this At&T thing that allows you to turn a plug into a phone jack. I think it works by using the electrical wiring in your house as a phone wire and you plug one jack into an existing phone and then it some how connects to this other one.
SO far its working but the internet is slower. I'm not sure if it was just fast the first time due to an off peak time 8AM, or if the "Instajack" is slowing things down. WE figure we'll give it a few days and if it doesn't pick up we might conclude its the Instajack.
