Now we all know I'm not a smart man... but a I do know what love is Jenny. So the most recent feeling of my dumbness came after the season finale of Lost. I haven't missed an episode in a while and have watched all the ones I did miss but I was so confused. It was interesting to see how Locke's lack of faith was punished in a way. But in the end after that finale I was so confused. Towards the end I thought it had gone to comercial so I had tuned out and after a few seconds realized the show was still going.
I tried applying for a job at the Hanso corporation, I figure I have no luck finding jobs with real companies why not try one that doesn't exist. We'll see, as long as I don't have to go to some stinkin island with others and electromagnetic pulsators and what not. Unless the Island had a mcdonalds, then that would trump those other two things. Unless the others ran the McDonalds... I don't think they'd do a good job of serving my 1/4 pounders with cheese... they seem kind of dirty and trixie. They also seem to hit people over the head, put bags over their heads, and generally seem to be up to no good.
Anyway, here's till september to find out. I'm convinced that Lost, Alias, 24, and a few other series are just better on DVD. Its too painful and long to wait for the next season. Alias was the worst when they delayed the 4th season for an entire year. Granted Sopranos did it for what five years? Eventually people forget things, for instance what am I blogging about???
I've been enjoying my paternity leave. Its exhausting being the Mr. Mom but I must say I'd rather be exhausted than sitting in a cube all day. I've gotten a lot of work done on the house since being home, mostly on my never ending project called, "THE FENCE." We started painting this thing back in april and I'm still working on it. I repainted the hinges today, which required taking them off and spray painting them. I also had to buy some new hinges as half of the gate at the bottom of the driveway was broke and the prior owners instead of replacing the hinge merely screwed the gate open... they were lazy folks.
I'm pretty much done with the fence. I may take a spray painter (Paint sprayer) and apply a top coat to some key curb appeal areas like the front facing the street and the side facing the driveway. But frankly I'm ok with the interior part being less than perfect.
AK is doing well, she actually slept through the night last night, at least 5 to 6 hours. We tried keeping her up yesterday and not letting her sleep all day. That and the wife's feeding is going a lot better. So I hope we have a repeat performance tonight as sleep is good.
I'm back! We finally got high speed internet again. WE bit the bullet in a lot of ways and though it will be tight we figured it would be good to have it while we gush and brag for the next few months about this little one...

Anna-Kate was born last week on Thursday via c-section after three days of induced labor. It was a grueling three days, in which wifey labored and labored. Eventually our doc decided a c-section was the only route because Anna-Kate was backwards and not progressing. Back Labor can be done however the frontal lobe of the head needs to come through, the problem with Anna-Kate was her back lobe was lodged down there and thus she kind of got stuck. Her head was in the right position for the correct way to labor but since wifey was in back labor it was virtually if not totally impossible. But after all of it we're glad she's here... though at three in the morning I might be singing a different tune.
We came home saturday from the hospital. Wifey recovered pretty quickly for a c section and was up walking around that day, though forced by the nurses. She's doing good though and enjoying being a mother. I'm getting used to this lack of sleep, though I can't complain because I've gotten more sleep than wifey. I mean when the girl wakes up at three in the morning and wants a good old feeding there's not much I can do about that.
I am getting a taste of being Mr. Mom. I've cooked and cleaned, and grocery shopped and realized its not as easy as it looks. Sitting in a cube all day is a lot easier and I have nothing to complain about. Grocery shopping is the worst. I went to three grocery stores yesterday, it was rediculous. I mean walmart ran out of milk! How does Walmart run out of milk? Did the cows unionize or something?
Anyway, things are good, sleep is little, and we're recoicing in the blessing God has given us.
